Mizuno MP-30 Refinished NOS head + mixed ferrule set
Mizuno MP-30 Refinished NOS head + mixed ferrule set (3-PW)
These were brand new upon purchase.
Ken Uselton left the plating along just slightly altered its color. A unique opportunity that we pounced on.
The Mizuno MP-30 has always lived in that tricky middle ground—neither a blade nor a full-on cavity, more like the iron that couldn’t decide whether to intimidate you or help you out. At address it still whispers “player’s club,” but the dual-muscle cavity gives just enough cushion that you don’t have to flush it every time (though it still prefers you do).
Looks-wise, pre “Outer Space” finish by KUP, it’s plenty understated as Mizuno sets tend to be..
The MP-30 didn’t make a big marketing splash, but it quietly set the template for what Mizuno has chased ever since—the “players cavity” that promises blade vibes without the punishment. Whether it fully nailed that balance is still up for debate, which is probably why the set is remembered as much for its role in Mizuno’s evolution as for its actual shelf life.
If you’re after the cult-classic feel of an iron that never tried too hard but still left an impression, the MP-30 is that kind of chapter. It won’t flatter you with forgiveness, and it won’t punish you like a true blade. It just… sits in between, smirking, daring you to figure it out.
listing includes ferrules shown: 4 sets of 2 BBFCO and the club heads. Happy to assemble, included in the price, we just invoice for components seperately.
