Wilson Staff 8813 (355 series) Putter

Condition: 100% mint clubhead; intact shaft band, original grip is as good as we’ve seen.

It’s a really big deal to us that Twirled finally found this putter, from its original issue batch, with all original components and a nearly flawless head. What a wonderfully strange thing to say “it’s far from just another ‘8802 style’ putter” given how closely related it is to the 8802 in reality (how could it be closer?)

But this putter, if one is rating under the assumption that the subject is in perfect condition, this is A Clean 10.

And that means you simply have to stroke some putts with it to understand why.

People have different tastes in putters. That’s true. But it’s also true that if you have figured out what type of putter works for you, then by definition you should know a great putter in a different category when you try it. This just feels correct. It feels Effortless. And that’s the first time since we started that we’ve used that adjective which is hyperbolic.

There was zero chance we were going to put one up for sale until THE ONE came along. Took a long while, but here we are.

If you* want to putt better, do not shorten this putter under any circumstances, and then use this putter for a season. Hit a lot of putts with it. Force the issue by getting an extra five minutes of lag putting in vs. smoking that new 5 wood when practicing.

*To be clear, I mean anyone, anyone at all, when I say “you.” This is a putter so length and shaft truly do not matter.
