Mizuno Pro YORO TN-93 (3-P, S2)

ASSEMBLED | Full & Half Sets Available

Update: first buyer wins the Mizuno Pro M-300 5 wood with a TF Gold No.8 shaft. If you are buying these 6.5 shafted irons and keeping those original shafts (are strong recommendation but your choice) then pls know that the the stiffness of an 8 in this 5 wood is just right for ya.

These are Yoro built TN/93’s - 9 of them - including that divine S2 wedge we’ve discussed in the past.

We got a shockingly good deal on them, and hence the “fair” price you see here. Imagine buying a demo set of the latest and greatest mizuno or Miura or Kyoei release fully assembled with Project X shafts (FCM shafts are now under True Temper’s PX line and alas those 3 initials are gone.)

We have said that these are one of the most underrated sets of golf clubs of the last few decades and upon one more sesh with this set we are all in on this particular set of EXTREME rarities.

It’s a particular shame that the TN-87’s simply drowned out the successor models when it comes to these killers. We hope the pictures give you enough looks to get across how divine these truly are, and as a topper we will just remind you of the Yoro serial numbers which indicate that at a minimum the club heads were inspected and maybe tweaked beyond the paint fill switch, and crucially that they were built by that most elite and senior team within Mizuno.

These sport FCM 6.5 shafts and were clearly lightly demo’d by a strong player as the few wear marks on face (which we could have blasted off but luckily snapped to and remembered that these will be the find of a lifetime for one lucky golfer looking to take their iron play uP one more time and those visible Center strike marks are irrelevant.

These are just short of N.O.S. Condition and because they are Yoro built (and we don’t want to risk losing one of those ferrules, we are not touching them.

The grips still have cord that grips sure they will need to be replaced, but why not receive an all original near mint Yoro set and go play some holes?

Finding a set in this shape is lucky, opening the box and seeing that the Yoro serials were legit was thrilling and darn lucky.

These irons come from a lineage of excellence, following the TN-87 and TN-91 sets—both revered for their craftsmanship and cult-like following among purists. The TN-93 irons continued this legacy, blending blade like precision with a subtlety small cavity-back design for enhanced playability without compromising feel. We’ll expand a bit for those still reading.

Lineage of Excellence: TN-87, TN-91, TN-93

• TN-87 Irons:

Widely regarded as one of the best forged blades ever made, these irons have achieved cult status among collectors and low-handicap players. Known for their buttery-soft feel, they set the standard for Mizuno’s legendary craftsmanship. In 2015, they offered a reproduced version of the iron. It sold well :)

• TN-91 Irons:

Since their very limited release, these have been pretty difficult to find in playable shape. We have offered them twice and immediately put them on our short list Of best irons ever made: these irons maintained the same premium feel and performance as the TN-87’s, earning their place among world-class players. Mizuno refined the design, removing the toe notch, while preserving the DNA of the originals.

TN-93 Irons: This third iterationof irons released with Tommy Nakajima’s intials was m a true evolution. Mizuno introduced a small cavity-back feature to provide more forgiveness while still retaining the feedback and precision loved by better players.

Features of the TN-93 Irons:

• Subtle Cavity-Back Design: Offers a touch of forgiveness, allowing for more consistency without sacrificing the feel and feedback Mizuno irons are known for.

• Forged from the MOST Premium Carbon Steel: Classic Mizuno forging delivers a soft, responsive feel and Yoro’s involvement ensures they got the pick of the litter in terms of materials.

• Sleek Player’s Profile: Thin top line, minimal reverse progressive offset, and compact head shape for shot-making precision.

• Yoro Craftsmanship: Precision-built in by the most elite team in Japan at a time when the country was producing all the best forged clubs in the world- these really are near the innacle of Mizuno’s dominance and dedication to quality in the early to mid nineties.

• Classic Aesthetics: Timeless design with subtle and limited branding, appealing to all of us who value understated elegance.
