“ICW” = Internal Cavity Weighting)
Out of our normal comfort zone but we were just messing around one day and we absolutely grooving this previously dull grey, dripping with nostalgia, set of irons. Great, great logo.
There was a model 5 and this model 11; the 11 released with a bit less polished finish with a less traditional shape than the 5. (So you know, the original for color on bottom of club was black which meant standard lie angle…red =upright, green = semi-flat.
The set of 11’s shown here will be dropped into our Twirled store at hourglassgc.com soon), were essentially before their time a bit and often don’t get quite enough love in our opinion. Think of them as an. early run through the#rough edition of the @miuragiken ICL 600 models and some others….. These were non cavity back “blades”, which were in fact pretty darn close to the cast cavity back forgiveness levels of the time, just a bit better looking we think.
The Model 5’s were released with a bit more polish so we took care of that deficit here and think we found some paint, @bbandfco ferrules and @bettinardigolf grips to make a compelling set.
Pick from one of four shafts, something new here at Hourglass. Assembly at Hourglass is included in our prices.
The polished stainless really looks good on these and for those looking for increasing offset progression from short iron to long iron, these are a marvellous example.
